IGEL Technology Day 2016

This year’s Technology Day for IGEL AG and IGEL PS took place on Monday 17 October 2016 at the Leonardo Hotel Munich City South. The IGEL Technology Day is a platform for our employees to promote knowledge sharing.

Presentations by IGEL employees on topics such as ‘Integration of a 48V electric motor in a Lotus Super Seven’, ‘Alternative valve trains’, ‘Current developments in combustion engines’ and other exciting topics on technical innovations were the focus of the event.

Guest speakers from Bundeswehr University Munich and the Chair of Internal Combustion Engines covered current developments in the field of internal combustion engines and electric drives. The two exciting lectures ‘Current trends in electric machines and drives’ and ‘Zero emissions with combustion engines’ encouraged reflection and discussion.

As different as the lectures were, you could clearly see how enthusiastic all of the speakers were about their own topic and how delighted they were to be able to carry out research in what is still unchartered territory.
