Lucien Debertrand has left the Management Board of IGEL AG – We say thank you

After more than two decades of dedicated and influential leadership, Lucien Debertrand has left our company following the expiration of his board mandate and the completion of a one-year transition period with the three new board members. Over more than 20 years, he has shaped our company with great passion, motivation, and tireless commitment.

Lucien Debertrand joined IGEL AG in November 2001, quickly becoming the right hand of company founder and then Managing Director Erich Leitner. In July 2008, he took the helm of the company as sole member of the Executive Board. He assumed responsibility at a time initially marked by strong growth but also faced several major economic challenges — from the financial crisis (2008/2009) and “Dieselgate” (2015) to trade disputes (2018/2019) and most recently the COVID-19 pandemic with its accompanying semiconductor shortage. Each of these events hit the industry hard, yet Mr. Debertrand navigated them skillfully thanks to his friendly and open manner.

We sincerely thank Mr. Debertrand for his many years of service and his deep connection to our company. His impact will continue to resonate far beyond his tenure.
